Research Reveals Link between Document Management and Corporate Health
February 17, 2009

The Information Management Journal, a leading academic journal based in the US, has published research which reveals how implementing a secure document management system has the double effect of improving an organisation’s bottom line while delivering added business benefits.
The research, involving 170 executives employed across a range of industries, revealed that two top concerns for businesses could be managed by an effective document management system. 97% of those surveyed agreed that document management boosts operational efficiency while 94% said it enhances customer service. Findings also suggested that successful management of documents elevates business performance in terms of revenue, productivity and compliance.
“Given the current economic climate, the efficiencies that are gained from document management are more important to achieve competitiveness.” commented Susan Spence, Group Director of SoftCo.
