
SoftCo extends sponsorship of England bowler Jimmy Anderson

Manchester, England. 11 June 2010. SoftCo is delighted to announce that it has extended its sponsorship of top England cricketer Jimmy Anderson, for the forthcoming 2010/2011 season. Anderson helped England to regain the Ashes against Australia for the 30th time in its history and the second time in four years, and was named as one of the five Wisden Cricketers of the Year for 2009.
The English team have a busy year ahead with home Test series against Bangladesh and Pakistan, the World Twenty20 tournament in the West Indies, the Ashes in Australia in December 2010 and culminating in the World Cup in February 2011.

Background of James Anderson
Born in Lancashire in 1982, James Anderson made his international debut at the age of 20. Since 2002, Anderson has represented England in 40 Test matches and over 100 One Day Internationals. Featuring in the 2003 ICC World Cup, Anderson earned himself the Man of the Match award against Pakistan, becoming the first Englishman to take an ODI hat-trick.
