Date: Nov 8, 2011
SoftCo, a leading provider of financial process automation and document management solutions, is delighted to announce that Public Investment Corporation (PIC) has expanded its use of SoftCo’s solutions with the deployment of SoftCo R8 throughout the organization.
PIC manages assets valued at R1.032 trillion, making it one of the largest investment managers on the African continent. PIC is wholly owned by the South African government and was established in 1911. R8 is implemented throughout PIC, delivering world-class document management and fast WORM (write once read many) magnetic storage which ensures that PIC meets its strict compliance obligations. The system is also deployed in a number of other business functions, including human resources, and incorporates a full disaster recovery infrastructure.
The news was announced by Jan O’Sullivan, TD, Irish Minister of State, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, at a reception held on 8 November 2011 in Johannesburg. The event was hosted by Enterprise Ireland, the Irish government organization responsible for driving leadership and growth for innovative Irish companies in international markets.
“South Africa is a growth market for our products. We recently established an office in Johannesburg to build on a number of customer successes. PIC is an important part of that growth and we are delighted to be associated with such a successful organization.”
