We are looking for DevOps Engineers with AWS experience to join our multi-disciplined team operating across geographical regions. DevOps Engineer – Your role:

We are looking for DevOps Engineers with AWS experience to join our multi-disciplined team operating across geographical regions. If you are a DevOps enthusiast who enjoys working in a highly collaborative fast-paced environment and want to use the latest new and exciting technologies, then this is the role for you.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with product owners, architects and other teams to design and build automated processes to deploy SoftCo software in AWS.
  • Manage containerized solutions using Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Automate processes/code in Python/PowerShell.
  • Manage implementation of pipeline & testing using market leading technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production systems.
  • Be responsible for automation design, configuration, optimization, documentation and support of the infrastructure components.
  • Ensure cloud resources are managed appropriately using infrastructure as code and security best practices.
  • Manage infrastructure for centralising platform logging, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Ensure CI/CD pipelines are deployable and sustainable at scale and meet the business needs.
  • Explore and recommend new tools and processes which can be leveraged by DevOps for improved capabilities and efficiencies.
  • Adhere to company policies and compliance standards including standard operating procedures, change management policies, documentation requirements and other related compliance requirements.

 

Your profile:

  • 3+ years post qualification experience in a software engineering role with exposure to the full SDLC, preferably on enterprise scale systems in a DevOps environment.
  • Hands on experience writing “Infrastructure as Code” modules to provision infrastructure (CloudFormation, Terraform, Boto).
  • AWS experience (Lambda, Control Tower, API Gateway, VPC Networking, EC2, ELB).
  • High level of comfort working with Linux systems, administration and scripting.
  • Strong background in Continuous Integration, build automation and configuration tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, GIT and Cloud Formation together with virtualization and containerization technologies (Docker).
  • Familiarity & Understanding of Networking concepts like Routing, SNMP, Web Application Firewalls, Load Balancing, and VPN.
  • Exposure to deploying applications on Java EE servers (JBoss, Wildfly, Tomcat).
  • A good working knowledge Internet services (SSL/TLS, DNS).
  • Experience setting up logging & monitoring infrastructure.
  • Proficient with programming languages such as Java/Python.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and concepts.
  • Fluency in verbal and written English including the ability to effectively explain technical concepts.
  • Strong problem solving and software debugging skills.
  • Customer focussed with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with distributed teams.

Desired

  • Setup and administration of databases (SQL, Oracle, MongoDB).
  • Experience with Docker / Kubernetes and microservice architectures.
  • Experience with Machine Learning or MLOps.
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer OR Solution Architect OR SysOps Administrator.
