Technical Document Writer – Your role:

SoftCo are looking for a Technical Document Writer (Contract Position) to join our team in Dublin (South). This position will work closely with technical experts to write a variety of technical content including process documentation, product reference and educational materials.  This role plays a key part in the ongoing success and expansion of SoftCo:

  • Migration of existing documentation to our new platform that utilises Markdown, MkDocs and other open-source tools to deliver a compelling and engaging Knowledge Hub for SoftCo’s global customer base
  • Document complex technical subjects in ways that are easy to understand
  • Regularly works with a wide range of roles such as project/product managers, software engineers and other technical personnel to capture information and effectively communicate to appropriate audiences
  • Work closely with Product Development and project delivery teams
  • Always ensure adherence to company policies.

Your profile:

  • Understanding of financial business processes such as Procurement, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable is a distinct advantage.
  • Familiarity with GIT, Markdown
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to effectively manage time through careful planning and organisation of work activities.
  • Superior written communication skills.
  • The capacity to learn and apply new information quickly and accurately.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
