We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Application Support Engineer to join our support team. Application Support Specialist – Your role:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Application Support Engineer to join our support team. As a key player in a rapidly growing AP automation company, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring smooth, efficient operations for our clients by resolving issues, supporting system integrations, and enhancing the overall user experience. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, highly customer-focused, and thrives in fast-paced environments, bringing a proactive approach to problem-solving and client support.
Your responsibilities:
Application Support & Problem Resolution:
- Develop a deep understanding of our AP automation products, staying up-to-date with new features, enhancements, and industry best practices.
- Represent SoftCo by being the first point of technical support with our customers.
- Maintain strong communication with customers, providing timely updates and ensuring SoftCo customers receive first class support.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues, including identifying root causes and implementing solutions or workarounds.
- Monitor application performance and proactively identify and address potential issues.
- Work closely with developers, QA, and product teams to identify product improvements, test fixes, and ensure a high-quality user experience.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
- Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and best practices to expand the support team’s knowledge base.
- Share expertise and insights with team members to foster continuous learning and skill growth.
Your profile:
- Familiarity with SQL, databases, and data querying for investigating technical issues.
- Experience in Technical / Application support roles in Enterprise or SaaS companies with the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of MS SQL Server, JavaScript, XML data integrations and understanding of XSLT, an advantage.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) and AP/AR processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working with non-technical and technical users.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure products eg. Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics – Preferrable but not essential.
- A 3rd level qualification in a technical discipline or relevant industry experience.
