SoftCo is looking for an experienced HR generalist to join our team in Dublin.  Reporting to the HR Manager the successful candidate will provide professional HR support in line with SoftCo policies, processes and procedures.

HR Generalist – Your role:

SoftCo is looking for an experienced HR generalist to join our team in Dublin.  Reporting to the HR Manager the successful candidate will provide professional HR support in line with SoftCo policies, processes and procedures.

  • Provide input to the development of HR policies, processes and procedures including proactively identifying areas for improvement;
  • Provide recruitment support to ensure all vacancies are successfully filled with skilled and experienced employees;
  • Provide day to day HR support across various functional areas including but not limited to production & administration of employment contracts and amendments, benefits administration, leave and absence management, starters, movers & leavers process;
  • Maintain accurate & up to date employee information on the HR System & Database;
  • Organise and coordinate the Induction schedule for new employees;
  • Co-ordinate the Performance Management and Bonus/Salary review process;
  • Liaise with line managers and provide advice and support on relevant issues/ employee individual cases;
  • Respond to employee enquiries ensuring that all issues are resolved efficiently and in a timely manner;
  • Stay up to date with employment legislation and maintain HR related data and employment records in line with SoftCo policies and legislative and audit requirements;
  • Co-ordinate employee training & development plans and identify and organise training & development initiatives;
  • Manage and process weekly and monthly payroll for Ireland and engage with external payroll providers in Finland, UK and USA to ensure the accurate processing of payroll, including:
  • Accurate completion of payroll and benefit administration
  • Input and calculation of holidays, sick leave etc
  • Conduct project work as may be assigned from time to time;
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and compliance standards, at all times.

Your profile:

  • A college degree or similar qualification in Human Resources (or related area), ideally CIPD qualified;
  • 3+ years’ work experience in a similar role with excellent knowledge of HR legislation/employment law and best practice;
  • Team worker with strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels;
  • Ability to multi-task, with skill in establishing priorities and managing workloads, especially in situations where deadlines are short;
  • Ability to research, evaluate, find solutions and make recommendations;
  • Demonstrates good judgement and decision-making capability;
  • Ability to be flexible and to adapt and work effectively with a variety of situations or individuals;
  • Professional who is experienced and dependable with discretion, enthusiasm and a positive attitude;
  • PC Expertise with proficiency in Microsoft applications;
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
