We are looking for an Automation Specialist to join our Data and Automation team, focused on improving how the business operates at scale. This is not a QA or software testing role. Instead, you will work across business functions to design and implement automated workflows, integrate systems, and reduce manual processes. Using low-code platforms, scripting, and AI-driven tools, you will streamline operations, improve data quality, and build scalable solutions that enhance efficiency across the organisation.

Automation Specialist – Your role:

We are looking for an Automation Specialist to join our Data and Automation team, focused on improving how the business operates at scale. This is not a QA or software testing role. Instead, you will work across business functions to design and implement automated workflows, integrate systems, and reduce manual processes. Using low-code platforms, scripting, and AI driven tools, you will streamline operations, improve data quality, and build scalable solutions that enhance efficiency across the organisation.

This roles offers the opportunity to shape and mature our automation capabilities, contribute to our data ecosystem, and enable teams to work more effectively though automation 

The role focuses on driving business process automation and operational efficiency, working across teams to improve workflows, systems, and data flows. It combines low-code tools, scripting, system integration, and AI-driven automation.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Identify, analyse, and prioritise automation opportunities across business functions (Finance, Operations, Customer Success, etc.)

  • Extend low-code solutions with custom automation logic and scripts where needed

  • Design, build, and maintain end-to-end automated workflows using low code platforms (e.g. Power Automate, n8n, Copilot Studio, or similar)
  • Own and continuously improve business-critical workflows, ensuring reliability, scalability, and robust exception handling

  • Design and implement AI-driven automations, including prompt engineering, LLM orchestration, and agent-based workflows

  • Collaborate with the Data team to ensure data quality, consistency, and efficient data flows into the data warehouse and BI environment

  • Establish and promote best practices across automation (governance, security, version control, monitoring)

  • Document workflows, integrations, and architectures to support transparency, auditing, and scalability

  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to redesign and optimise processes, not just automate them

  • Support and mentor teams adopting automation tools, including enabling citizen developers

  • Contribute to an Agile/iterative environment, participating in planning, reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 3+ years of experience in process automation, RPA, systems integration, or data/operations engineering

  • Hands-on experience with low-code automation platforms (e.g. Power Automate, n8n, or similar)

  • Strong scripting skills (e.g. Python) for automation, integrations, or data manipulation

  • Solid understanding of APIs (REST), JSON, and authentication mechanisms

  • Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and data structures

  • Experience analysing business workflows and translating them into scalable technical solutions

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Desirable:

  • Experience with AI-driven or agentic automation, including LLM orchestration

  • Broader experience across automation ecosystems (Microsoft Power Platform, Google Workspace, n8n, etc.)

  • Knowledge of workflow orchestration, observability, and integration patterns

  • Experience mentoring or enabling citizen developers

  • Exposure to business process frameworks (e.g. BPMN, Lean, change management)
