We are looking for a skilled .NET Developer to join our Product Modernization Team. This role is critical in driving the transformation of our existing technology stack to a modern, scalable, and cloud-native architecture. The successful candidate will contribute to upgrading our .NET libraries, enhancing our DevOps pipelines, migrating databases to AWS, and transitioning from Windows to Linux.

.NET Developer – Your role:

We are looking for a skilled .NET Developer to join our Product Modernization Team. This role is critical in driving the transformation of our existing technology stack to a modern, scalable, and cloud-native architecture. The successful candidate will contribute to upgrading our .NET libraries, enhancing our DevOps pipelines, migrating databases to AWS, and transitioning from Windows to Linux. Our product serves a global customer base across multiple industries, requiring a robust, high-performance, and future-proof platform.

Your responsibilities:

  • Upgrade .NET Framework: Modernize our existing codebase by migrating from .NET Framework 4.6 to the latest .NET version.
  • Enhance DevOps Pipelines: Transition from legacy XAML-based CI/CD pipelines to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Cloud Database Migration: Support the migration from SQL Server 2022 to AWS-managed database solutions, ensuring security, scalability, and performance.
  • Platform Modernization: Assist in moving the application environment from Windows-based hosting to Linux, optimizing for performance and maintainability.
  • Performance Optimization: Refactor and improve the existing application for better efficiency, maintainability, and cloud-readiness.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure all modernization efforts align with industry best practices and compliance standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, DevOps engineers, cloud architects, and other developers to execute modernization plans effectively.

Key requirements:

  • .NET Development: Strong experience in C# and .NET (preferably .NET 6/7/8). Proven ability to upgrade and modernize legacy .NET applications.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: Experience with AWS services (e.g., RDS, EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly migrating from XAML-based pipelines to modern alternatives.
  • Database Migration: Experience in migrating from SQL Server 2022 to cloud-based solutions, ideally AWS RDS (SQL Server or PostgreSQL).
  • Linux Expertise: Proficiency in transitioning applications from Windows to Linux environments, including scripting and performance tuning.
  • Version Control & Code Quality: Experience with Git, automated testing, and best coding practices.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to technical challenges.

Desirable skills

  • Experience with containerization (Docker, ECS, or other AWS-based container services).
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven design.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud-based applications.
  • Previous experience in large-scale modernization projects.

Soft Skills

  • Proactive, self-organizing mindset with a strong focus on problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with developers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong documentation skills for creating clear and actionable guides for teams.
